Tiffany targets US with New Jersey store 2nd June 2005

Tiffany has announced plans to open a major new US store in Atlantic City, New Jersey, which will offer a wealth of new platinum pieces.

The 3,000 square-foot store will be located in a new retail and entertainment centre called the Pier and Caesars at the centre of the city's historic Boardwalk and will target the growing emergence of luxury consumers.

Beth O. Canavan, executive vice president of Tiffany, said: "We are extremely excited about becoming a part of this dynamic retail environment, and to unveiling our own heritage of quality, craftsmanship, and superior service that make shopping at Tiffany a unique experience."

The celebrated jeweller will offer an array of its well-known collections as well as specially designed jewels in platinum and eighteen carat gold settings, Tiffany Celebration rings, fashion jewellery and watches.

The luxury store is due to open in 2006 and is seen as leading the way in plans to make Atlantic City a world-class luxury resort.

Tiffany announced plans earlier this month to open a new boutique at Galeries Lafayette in Paris that will be offering a number of platinum pieces.

The boutique on the city's famous Boulevard Haussmann will occupy approximately 46 square metres on the ground floor of Galeries Lafayette, and will feature some of the firm's signature platinum lines.

The new Tiffany store will stock jewellery collections of platinum, diamonds and gold, with Lucida - the firm's patented platinum diamond engagement ring - among those on offer.

The multibillion-dollar firm now has over 100 stores and boutiques in the US and international markets.track
