Tiffany plans Japan stores 23rd February 2007
Platinum jeweller Tiffany & Co has announced plans to open three new stores in Japan over the coming months.
The high-end jewellery retailer has announced that it will open three boutiques in the country by April this year as it continues its expansion into the Asian market.
Two of the boutiques will be situated in recently renovated department stores in Tokyo, while the third is to be located in Hiroshima's top department store, Tiffany stated.
Michael C Christ, President of Tiffany & Co Japan, commented: "The newly designed stores offer Tiffany & Co Japan wonderful new opportunities to delight our customers and make new friends."
On top of these developments, a new Tiffany watch corner is set to be opened within the Takashimaya store, where one of the two Tokyo boutiques will also be placed.
The jeweller, which specialises in creating fine platinum pieces, announced last month that it would be opening its first store in Singapore, as it looks to expand into the Asian market, where demand for platinum jewellery is growing significantly.
