Actors Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott have become engaged for the second time, this time with platinum.

Over Christmas, McDermott reaffirmed his wish to marry the former Beverly Hills 90210 star by presenting her with an antique platinum ring while they were visiting Lake Ontario in his native Canada.

The actor described how he presented Ms Spelling with the ring beside the lake. He said: I'd wrapped the ring in a much bigger box, and as soon as she opened the ring box I asked her to marry me again. It was very romantic and magical."

Ms Spelling described her reaction: "I immediately started crying and said, 'Yes!' again and again and again."

The couple initially got engaged in 2005 and married in Fiji in May last year. Ms Spelling is now expecting their first child.
