Rockland Minerals Corp has completed the definitive agreement for the Blue Lake copper-nickel-platinum group metals project.

The firm reports the signing of the option agreement with La Fosse Platinum Group Inc for the deposits located in the heart of the Labrador Trough, Quebec.

It follows a binding letter agreement announced on October 13th covering five separate mining leases.

Rockland also said two of the properties have "excellent" exploration potential for zinc deposits.

The agreement covers Quebec Special Mining Leases, originally granted to Hollinger North Shore Exploration Ltd in the Labrador Trough.

They include the Blue Lake cluster in the south, and extend northwards to the Chance Lake, Glance Lake, and Lac Aulneau ultramafic-hosted copper, nickel, platinum and palladium occurrences at the base of folded peridotite sills in the Labrador Trough.

Total historical tonnage and weighted average of the four main deposits is 4.03 ts at 0.84 g/t platinum and palladium.
