Platinum-threaded £240k dress to light up London Jewellery Week 26th May 2010
A bridal gown featuring platinum and worth £240,000 will be one of the headline attractions at an upcoming jewellery festival, it has been suggested.
The dress, which is woven from threads of the precious metal and silk, will be showcased by Nicholas James during the London Jewellery Week between 7th and 13th June.
In addition, the designer will be displaying its new palladium bands for men and a titanium bike with over 12 carats of rough diamonds set into the frame and 18-carat gold parts and trim.
Nicholas James is also planning to unveil its new 'Embrace' collection, which was devised using the celebrated solitaire design the company has used for wedding rings in the past.
"On its own, the engagement ring coils round the finger, and when the wedding band is introduced, the two rings 'embrace' and fit together with symmetry and balance," noted a report by retail-jeweller.com.
London Jewellery Week will witness a wide range of events taking place across the capital in order to promote its diverse jewellery scene and unique place within the industry.
