Platinum group metals database launched 25th October 2004
A new database of information relating to platinum group metals has been launched, offering users a fully interactive site supported by some of the industry's major players.
The world's biggest platinum miner, Angloplat, has been joined by Johnson Matthey and the International Platinum Association (IPA) to deliver the Platinum Group Metals Database.
The site is designed as a comprehensive information site, detailing physical, mechanical and chemical data for pgms and their alloys.
Boasting more than 400 alloys and 1,000 diagrams, the site harnesses state-of-the-art software to facilitate a fully searchable media-rich resource.
The site currently contains more than 600 separate pages of related data, with the organisers pledging to update the site regularly, and also to solicit contributions from users.
The PGM Database is at: http://www.platinummetalsreview.com/jmpgm/index.jsp
