PGI showcases new platinum designs in NYC 6th June 2011

Platinum Guild International (PGI) has been showcasing the newest examples of jewellery crafted from the metal in New York.

The body, which represents the platinum jewellery industry, held Editor's Day in the US city to introduce new platinum designs to the media, according to Diamonds.net.

Entry-level platinum was the main theme and the pieces were featured in six categories selected by retailers.

These were Platinum Vintage Engagement Rings, Platinum Modern Engagement Rings, Entry Platinum Engagement Rings, Platinum Earrings, Platinum Fashion Rings and Platinum Wedding Bands.

Founded in 1975, the PGI has provided sales and training support to all levels of the platinum jewellery industry around the world.
