North American Palladium production on a par with 2007 8th August 2008
North American Palladium has announced that palladium production for the three months ended June reached 65,791 oz.
The figure puts production at a similar level to the same period during 2007 when it reached 66,651 oz.
In a statement, the firm also announced that it had received a draft of the feasibility study for the Arctic Platinum Project.
But it revealed that it would not see a positive study before August 31st.
Meanwhile North American Palladium will continue to focus on further definition of the Offset High Grade Zone at the Lac Des Iles mine.
This could lead to underground mining operations continuing until 2018 if the results of the preliminary economic assessment prepared by Micon International Limited are accurate.
North American Palladium announced that it expected to receive the remaining information need to finalise the design of the mine.
During the same quarter, income generated from mining operations of $4.1 million (before an insurance recovery of $13.8 million) compared to a loss of $6.1 million in the same period last year.
