An exclusive range of mobile phones have been developed in Dubai that use a platinum finish to provide the executive with the ultimate luxury.

Entitled the Vertu Signature collection, the product has been developed by the Rivoli Group, a Dubai based importer and retail specialist for elite international watches and luxury brands and activities.

Offering the collection of phones to markets in the UAE and Qatar, the group has signed an agreement with new UK company Vertu, according to AME Info.

Mr Ramesh Prabhakar, Rivoli's managing director, says luxury mobile phones were part of the 'high-end positioning' the firm was seeking, adding that the precious metals laden phone would appeal 'to an entirely new clientele'.

The collection leads the way in a new type of mobile communication, providing high performance, unique service and a jewellery-style approach to the emerging fashions of the mobile industry.

Features of the phone include a front-lit high-resolution display, and an improved antenna giving unparalleled sensitivity and a hi-fidelity audio system speaker.

Produced in association with prestigious manufacturers from around the world, the handmade handset has a sapphire crystal face and platinum bezels.
