NAP delays results 23rd February 2006

North American Palladium (NAP) says it will be delaying the release of its annual results.

The Canadian pgm producer said that fourth quarter results and the year-end figures would now be released on March 2nd.

The figures from the palladium firm, which runs the profitable Lac des Iles open pit in northern Ontario, were due to be released today.

Earlier this month NAP's crushing and milling operations wee disrupted as a result of a tailings leak and subsequent flooding.

An initial closedown was ordered causing disruption to the milling and primary crusher functions, but the firm stressed that any production losses were limited.

NAP boasted record production in last year's annual results, with palladium output predicted to gradually increase on the back of new underground operations throughout 2005.
