Mitsubishi expects large growth in Chinese vehicle sales 22nd April 2003
Mitsubishi Motors has announced that it expects China to account for annual vehicle sales of 300,000 by 2007.
According to the general manager of the company's Shanghai operations, Hideaki Anraku, a whole range of vehicle types will be manufactured.
'Mitsubishi sees China as a very, very important market,' Mr Anraku told Automotive News on the sidelines of the Shanghai auto show.
The company intends to reach an output of around 270,000 vehicles per year by 2007, compared with about 70,000 now.
