A new study into the state of the fuel cell industry by a well-respected organisation will be unveiled in Abu Dhabi next month.

Fuel Cell Today (FCT), a major market intelligence provider, is set to launch its 2010 Industry Review, entitled Fuel Cells: Sustainability, at the World Future Energy Summit.

The company explained that the report is designed to provide an assessment of the progress of the sector, incorporating both emissions reductions and the potential to create jobs.

"Fuel Cells: Sustainability presents how fuel cells may contribute to CO2 and regulated pollutant emissions reduction across a number of sectors," read a statement from FCT.

"[These include] energy supply, industry and transportation, [while also] providing ten-year CO2 footprint forecasts for fuel cells in various applications worldwide."

Furthermore, the study is set to analyse general industry-wide developments in 2009 and current unit shipment trends, which will include five-year projections.

Policymakers and businesses will be in attendance at the launch, which takes place on 19th January and forms part of the 'Expert Showcase' group of seminars.
