Johnson Matthey's Siberian autocatalyst plant nearing completion 18th September 2007
Johnson Matthey's latest autocatalyst plant is due to be launched before the end of the year, the company has announced.
Mikhail Piskulov, Johnson Matthey's General Manager in Russia, has stated that the firm is expecting to receive its first trial shipments from its new autocatalyst plant in Siberia by the end of 2007.
Full production of catalytic converters at the site is due to be reached next year, with production being increased "step by step" in line with demand, he added.
The company has spent over $10 million developing the new plant, with production levels expected to reach between 500,000 and one million units per year once it reaches full capacity.
