Johnson Matthey catalytic converters 'meet NESHAPS gas engine rules' 30th November 2010
Johnson Matthey is offering a full line of catalytic converters in order to help engine owners and operators comply with emissions standards in the US.
The company has a number of products which meet the Environmental Protection Agency's final National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPS) rules for existing engines.
Its new three-way and two-way EcoNOx offerings are capable of reducing NOx, CO, HC, formaldehyde, other pollutants and even noise from gas engines.
The product line is described by the firm - which is a global leader in emissions control technology - as easy to maintain and ideal for multiple new or retrofit applications.
Jeffrey Sherman, Business Manager for Johnson Matthey's Stationary Emissions Control Group, explained that the products will help the industry to meet the NESHAPS rules by the required date of 3rd May 2013.
"This final NESHAPS rule will have a positive and significant impact on air quality," he said.
"Johnson Matthey definitely has the tools and expertise to help our customers meet the demands of this rule."
Founded in 1817, Johnson Matthey trades on the London Stock Exchange and is a member of the FTSE 100 Index.
