Fuel cell demand grows 28th November 2006
Sales, research spending and employment in the fuel cell industry are all on the up, a new report claims.
A study by the US Fuel Cell Council (USFCC) discovered a significant year-on-year rise in these areas, as demand for the green technology increases.
The report states that sales increased by seven per cent between 2004 and 2005 to $353 million and research and development spending was up by 11 per cent to $796 million.
USFCC executive director, Robert Rose, said: "This is the fourth year of USFCC survey, and we are committed to its growth. We invite companies not yet on the survey list to contact us for inclusion."
Fuel cell development has grown significantly in recent years as demand for alternative energy systems grows.
