Sir Elton John has marked his 'marriage' to long-term partner David Furnish by exchanging dazzling platinum rings.
The world-renowned pop singer chose a £20,000 eternity ring, which featured an 8.5 carat three row platinum row from Chopard.
Alongside this the duo were decorated with a stunning platinum brooch, featuring three flawless solitaire stones.
The final touch was applied with Sir Elton's £60,000 two carat solitaire platinum diamond stud in his ear.
The ceremony, which marked one of the first of the landmark same-sex civil partnerships in England, was followed by a glittering celebrity party.
In a sign of the popularity of the platinum bridal market, the very first same-sex couple to get 'married' in the UK also exchanged platinum rings.
The simple yet elegant rings were worn by Grainne Close and Shannon Sickles at the ceremony carried out at Belfast City Hall.
