Celebrity jewellery designer Leslie Greene has been showcasing her new collection, with platinum playing a key role in her latest work.

Ms Greene, who is famed for pieces worn by a host of leading Hollywood ladies in particular, took time out from New York to visit the luxurious Cayman Islands.

At the Grand Switzerland jewellery store this week the jeweller revealed a collection of necklaces, rings, bracelets and pendants using gold, white gold, platinum and diamonds.

Speaking to Cayman Net News she said she was inspired to produce the new range from some of the different influences in her home town of New York.

"Each time that I discover a new vintage clothing store, or a piece of art, or even a colour that moves me, I am motivated to begin a new collection," she said.

Ms Greene's work was on prominent display at the Golden Globes in 2005 and at the Emmys and has decorated some of the world's leading stars.

Hit US television show Sex and the City was one of the other biggest platforms for her work- Sarah Jessica Parker is reportedly a fan, Kim Cattrall also wears earrings from Ms Greene's range while Kristan Davis wore a pendant during the show's final series.

Julia Roberts, Gwyneth Paltrow and Courtney Cox all also wear some of the range.
