Bulgari jewellery sales shine 10th February 2005

Bulgari's jewellery sector has made up over 40 per cent of the group's total revenues for the year, according to the company's latest results.

Total revenue at the group reached $440.64 million during 2004 and jewellery revenues were up by 11.4 per cent.

Francesco Trapani, CEO of the Bulgari Group, told Tacy: "I am very satisfied with the results achieved by the group in 2004, which prove, once again, the strength of the Bulgari brand all over the world, the innovation expertise in all product categories and the success of this year's new launches: Astrale for jewels, Ergon for watches."

Various areas experienced different sales results, with outstanding sales in Japan, the US and the Middle East. In addition, Europe and Italy also saw satisfying sales volumes.

"The signs of a recovery, already registered in the first nine months of the year, were even stronger…I am convinced that the excellent sales results and the financial strength of the group will enable us to pay generous and rewarding dividends to all the shareholders," Mr Trapani added.

Bulgari produces a range of platinum pieces, and is recognised as a comparatively exclusive, 'high-end' retailer in the sector.
