Aquarius secures South African listing 3rd December 2004
Mining group Aquarius Platinum has announced plans to list its shares on the South African stock exchange, the JSE.
The company will appear under the abbreviated name "Aquarius" in the "Resources, mining - platinum" sector from Wednesday December 8th.
Aquarius secured the listing after the South African government announced the relaxation of its rules for foreign firms looking for secondary listings.
The platinum miner hopes that the move will serve to increase its investor base.
"The listing on the JSE will increase our investor base by providing South Africans with the opportunity to invest in Aquarius," said Aquarius Platinum CEO Stuart Murray.
Aquarius has a primary listing on the Australian Stock Exchange and a secondary listing on the London Stock Exchange.
