Aquarius Platinum appoints new non-executive director 30th April 2004
Platinum producer, Aquarius Platinum, has appointed Edward Haslam as an independent non-executive director.
Mr Haslam was formerly chief executive of rival firm, Lonmin, a role he held for just under four years.
He retired from Lonmin on his 60th birthday earlier this month. Mr Haslam joins Aquarius with immediate effect.
In a statement, Aquarius said Mr Haslam would bring "significant experience and knowledge" to his new job.
"We believe that our ability to attract individuals of this high calibre is indicative of the confidence in the company's future," chairman Nicholas Sibley added.
Mr Haslam first joined Lonmin in 1981 and was appointed director in 1999.
